Florida’s first commercial oil well

Thankfully we don’t drill for oil extensively in Florida or offshore Florida, but here is a look at the first commercial oil well in the state.

    Fascinating. Thanks for sharing. I realize it’s not part of history, but if you could capture and share an image of functioning oil wells in the state that would be very insightful. I think the state looked into banning or putting a moratorium on drilling a few years ago. I can’t recall if that was enacted.

    I meant bad or moratorium on fracking.
