Next week, we begin a new podcast series where we will trace the steps of Florida’s incorporation into the United States – a narrative that revolves largely around Andrew Jackson. We’re going to try and take as balanced a view of Old Hickory as we can but also discuss why so many of the US intentions in terms of Florida were malicious. We’ll also follow Jackson and associates through his Presidency and discuss the relationship with Florida in that period.
