Throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s activism was fueled by opposition to the building of urban expressways throughout the country. Florida was no different. This week on The Florida History Podcast, we discuss the expressway revolts in Florida as well as the cancelled roads, activism that came from the fights and the eventual fight between Democrats and Republicans over toll roads.
