Incoming Florida House Speaker Richard Corcoran has strong opinions that favor the school choice industry. But the full depth of Corcoran’s plans which would potentially change the face of education in Florida have become more apparent in recent weeks. The Speaker-designee also has some unique and different views on scoring schools in a public fashion.

Last month, the Speaker-designee sat down with the Tripp Scott law firm (which represents multiple for-profit charter schools)  and many of these plans were then conveyed in redefinED by Travis Pillow this week.

With the election around the corner we’ll shift our focus from politics to policy in the coming weeks. The interview embedded below gives everyone a taste of what might in store at least in terms of public education for the next 24 months while Corcoran is speaker.

Video is embedded after the jump.
