It has potential but will probably end up being typically FDP useless.

Seriously? Does anyone believe this is anything other than a distraction. The Democratic Party has a track record! They know the lemmings in the Executive Committee will bite at the smallest crumb. They have the attention span of a 2 year old. No one inside the party is paying attention or holding the elected leaders accountable.

Why aren’t the progressives storming the FDP headquarters. They are in a siege mentality but the dumbass Democrats around the state can’t seem to organize anything, including our own party. If I didn’t know better I’d swear the Florida Republicans are actually controlling our chair and staff. At least that would explain the complete incompetence and negligence.

  3. To be fair, it is way to early to ask this question or to make any judgementcall. They have not even begun their work. Let’s see where it goes before we praise or condem the group.

  5. I am damn proud to be a liberal. I have twenty-six years of Democratic grassroots field direction expertise. I have advised Allison Tant and Val Demings we need a Florida Democratic Party field director with my strategic operations expertise. It’s not all about the money.

I have also said we need a Florida Democratic Party Institutional Effectiveness Plan (FDP-IEP) based on LEAD Task Force recommendations. I told Tant and Demings, as a member of the editorial board of the scholarly Journal for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness, this is what I do. I author, edit, and coordinate institutional effectiveness plans and the Democratic Party needs one.

I hope Tant and Demings take me up on my expertise because we need to create a world class party plan that will flip this state of Florida and others. We must return to effectively communicating our core Democratic values and stop trying to appease and act like Republicans.

We need to start coordinating the field and getting people to the polls and we need to look more deeply into the voting and ballot counting processes. I have read many reports of peculiar irregularities.

The bottom line is we must focus on planning and executing at the grassroots level starting now if we are to take back our government from Republicans in 2016 and beyond. After all, this is what we Democrats, progressives, independents, and radicals have always done best.

    1. I am totally perplexed that three people did not like this post. Here is an accomplished true blue Democrat who is willing to work hard and passionately for the party he loves. I wish we had more like him. I am waiting to hear about him being hired to do the job no one else seems to have the balls to do. The FDP needs to hire this man immediately so he can get to work as soon as possible.

      1. No Victoria I don’t want a job, I want a successful Florida Democratic Party. The only way that will happen is if we hire some new sharp people who give a shit. We will never have a successful organization unless we stop using losers and hire some passionate people. Anyone can type a 5 word snype. You proved that,

  6. In theory the task force is a good idea. But if you look at the names on the task force no way any meaningful change comes. It is all people invested in the status quo.

  7. The committee is a complete waste of time based on who was named. Rod Smith? Ana Cruz? Bill Nelson? Ashley Walker?

Dave Trotter should be put in charge of this committee.

Sitting far away in Canada when he is not in his mom’s basement he can over analyze and over react the situation in a way none of us stupid and ignorant people stuck in
    Florida can.

PLEASE DAVE SAVE US HERE IN FLORIDA!

I WAS INSPIRED BY YOUR BLOG POSTING ABOUT YOUR INDEPENDENCE AND THE CORRUPTION OF THIS BLOG AND SAINT PETERSBLOG.

    2. But on another note…yeah, you people involved in Florida Democratic politics are pretty much idiots. Hey, using your words, not mine. Still, track record statistically proves this to be the case.

This committee will change nothing. Where are the grass roots workers? Where are the new people who think outside the box? But, it is up to us to fight back when the same people decide who should lead us. We need to stop being lemmings.
