TFS Website News

Hi folks, apologies for my lack of posting lately as the World Cup and my responsibilities at other websites and media outlets connected to the tournament have kept me busy. Special thanks to Katy and Justin for all their hard work in holding down the fort.

A few quick announcements related to our website:

  • Monday’s piece by Katy Burnett regarding Allison Tant and the FDP is the most read article in TFS history with over 5,000 page views and counting. The previous most-read article was regarding the demise of Val Demings campaign for Orange County Mayor.
  • We’ve created new pages for each of our four TFS staff writers and for our contributors. Go to the Meet Our Writers tab on the top left of the webpage and access the drop-down menu.  As time goes on we will build out these pages more thoroughly. For now you can access each of our Twitter pages and contact us individually via the website.
  • Dave Trotter will no longer be contributing to TFS. We have mutually agreed to part company for the time being although if the opportunity arises in the future to work together we will explore it. However, Dave continues to write for World Soccer Talk where I am the Managing Editor and he penned an outstanding piece on the French side that is playing later today.
  • We are actively exploring putting together an activist gathering of some sort this Jefferson-Jackson weekend, likely on Sunday. Leave any ideas you might have in the comments section.
  • With the end of the Group Stage of the World Cup tomorrow, my time should become considerably freer and I will be posting more regularly beginning on Friday.

Thanks again for your patronage of TFS!
