Charlie Crist ought to debate Nan Rich. Why?
Crist as this blog has pointed out previously seems off his game and he really needs to get himself back into shape taking barbs and, speaking in understandable and digestible sound bites.

I think the discussion is still an order on this website about the fact that we have Democratic legislators were not helping the cause to boost Democratic numbers in the state house or the state Senate.
These members are selfish and self-serving. More concerned about their individual power bases that actually building for the greater good.

Charlie Crist is not being forced to make any effort to pretend he is a Democrat. He is getting away with triangulating before even being nominated!!!!!

Why aren’t the democrats actively using the state party to recruit in county commission and mayors races?

This is the responsibility of the local party but they don’t do it well either and for a long period of time the state has not cared about local races and building a bench.

I was a firm believer in Charlie Crist and the need to nominate him. I believe we need to win this race and was willing to sacrifice my principles to do so.
Now though I am feeling very different about things. The unwillingness of Crist to engage true Democrats on our issues, have a real debate, take the cue from this blog and others on speaking up on policy during the session and work to build the party by speaking out and up has turned me against him.
I previously thought this site was just winding things up and being contrary but as I’ve read the recent articles here, the critiques of the party and Crist and the way you guys have laid them out I have seen the light. The articles here are so well argued and the logic nearly flawless that I and others who read are beginning to feel differently.
My local DEC in Orange County like the state party is in the tank. Given what has been revealed and analyzed about the Florida Democratic Party I now understand the agenda. They don’t focus on the grassroots instead they try and force conformity in this case with Crist and they keep losing.
People in our party including those here locally are far more concerned with individual status and prestige than winning elections.
I have decided I am voting for Nan Rich.
