I decided to have a bit of fun for Labor Day.

Governor DeSantis has a unique ability to unite people – I’ve often accused him of being divisive and pitting neighbor against neighbor and family member against family member, but recently he’s proven me wrong. Ron DeSantis has a unique ability to unite politicians of different ideologies and world views and have them singing from the same song sheet- because he’s a uniquely malign and unlikable person.

Enter Saturday’s bromance between Senator Rick Scott and his ideological opposite Joe Biden in Live Oak.

Enter my recent praise of Donald Trump’s rhetoric.

As many have commented derisively toward me, my comments supportive Donald Trump’s hits on DeSantis economic record indicates in our current simplistic tribal era that I must be a Trump backer. Nothing could be further from the truth but DeSantis’ obnoxious pay-to-play behavior unites even Trump with the the common people like you and me. I can’t stand Trump, but he’s made one point after another that lands perfectly on DeSantis.

So in fact Ron DeSantis is a unifier!
