We hear all the time about the rankings of Florida schools in football, but six different Florida schools have finished a season ranked in either the AP or coaches poll since 1960. And for the first time ever, this year, two Florida schools finished in the top 5, with Miami being ranked # 3 and FAU # 5. It was the fifth time two Florida schools finished in the top 10, but the first time it didn’t involve some combination of Florida, Florida State or Miami. In 2012-13 and 2017-18 seasons, three Florida schools ended the season ranked.
