Last week, Elon Musk doubled-down on his support of Ron DeSantis as a potential Presidential candidate. On Tuesday, in Jacksonville, DeSantis rewarded Musk, by oddly pushing an anti-capitalist, anti-free market message while attacking the P.R. China (whose statism DeSantis emulates often but he doesn’t like their Covid policies- the reason was he was defending Musk and going after one of the US’ leading private-sector employers and innovators.

Because , of course DeSantis on November 29, 2022 is a champion of “free speech” (maybe that’s why he doesn’t condemn antisemitism?) which of course was not the case in May 2021 or April 2022 when he pushed anti-protest legislation and extreme regulation of private sector workplace training, among other things.

But, hey we never were foolish enough to believe the Governor had any ideological consistency anyhow.
