United adding Fort Myers to California nonstops

United Airlines, who last winter experimented with many point-to-point routes of Florida, are adding nonstop flights from Fort Myers to both Los Angeles and San Francisco. When COVID hit, Southwest Florida did not have a single nonstop flight to the Pacific Coast, but after Alaska Airlines added Fort Myers to both Seattle and Los Angeles last year, airlines saw it as lucrative.

Additionally, United is adding new nonstop service from Los Angeles to Tampa which complements its existing San Francisco to Tampa nonstops.

Some big news to start the week airline wise related to Florida!
