Governor Napoleon Bonaparte Broward was Florida’s first populist officeholder of note, overturning two decades of Conservative Bourbon Democratic rule. Today Broward is best remembered for his scheme to drain the Everglades. On this week’s Florida History Podcast we discuss Broward’s career and legacy.
