i’m seeing some disturbing trends online where people are saying oh well the storm isn’t coming to me. It’s going to Tampa or Sarasota or whatever so it won’t be that big a deal. For various reasons that I outlined already the track for this storm is more uncertain than Helene and there is very little chance that any part of the peninsula will be unimpacted.

The storm is now a category, five monster, and while it should weaken before landfall people need to prepare for the worst.
