DeSantis politicizes transportation and declares war on working class and multi-modal transit

Governor DeSantis outrageously claimed he was “depoliticizing” transit last week with some condescending and crazy commentary.

My response was starightforward

The transportation agenda of DeSantis is to punish working class people for taking buses, prevent bike riding in big cities and suburban areas which also is a form of income discrimination AND obsesses over how people who drive EV’s like me are somehow extremists (perhaps beyond just being green some of us saw it as a way of saving money over time because you know we’re not millionaires like the people who donate to his campaign).

Florida has more miles of toll roads than any other state in the union and is constantly building. Currently I experience worse traffic when I’m in Port St Lucie than in Miami. Worse traffic in Leesburg than Orlando and far worse traffic outside Naples than in Tampa. And the traffic in both Clay and St Johns Counties are worse than Duval.

Perhaps this state would benefit from more mass transit and buses in the places where DeSantis most loyal voters live?!!

Unfortunately, DeSantis caters to his wealthy donors…in everything. We have truly earned the name, FloriDUH!!! I believe that the governor has a Napoleon complex and nothing will change for the middle class until he’s gone!
