My newest book, Florida and the American Revolution which will focus on the unheralded and underappreciated role Florida played in the Revolutionary War is now available for preorder on Kindle and is now available in paperback for immediate shipment.

I have already fielded questions about whether this is a “pro British” book. I think it’s balanced but since the British view of the war isn’t always represented in books written by American authors I suppose there will be some people who see it that way. The book is focused exclusively on Florida, as I am a Floridian – and our area stayed loyal to the crown. The book is largely about explaining that and why Florida opted to fight on the British side in the war when the other British North American colonies south of the St Lawrence River all rebelled.
