Obviously I am not a Donald Trump fan, but have long spared with many Democrats about the view that all Trump supporters were “racists,” and “deplorables.” In fact, I have to keep pointing out to many Democrats that Trump received the highest % of black votes for a GOP Presidential nominee since 1960 and cut significantly into the Democrats long-term advantage among NON-CUBAN HISPANICS (it’s become fashionable among some activists in denial to well deny this…) in Central Florida.

Now, Ron DeSantis, like the elitist he is, has joined with some of the same people he likes to attack by saying per Florida Politics

“If all we are is listless vessels that are just supposed to follow, you know, whatever happens to come down the pike on Truth Social every morning, that’s not going to be a durable movement,”

The bottom line is this – DeSantis is an elitist who has a contempt for people he considers less smart, successful of different than him. He’s acting out again, self-assured about himself while effectively looking down on the very people he NEEDS to be nominated by the GOP or to win the Presidency (hence why Hillary Clinton lost, among other reasons).

DeSantis did actually say something I agree with because I do NOT consider Trump a conservative. This having been said, I believe DeSantis is saying this out of spite…

“There will be people who are huge Trump supporters like in Congress who have, like, incredibly liberal left-wing records that’s really just atrocious and yet they’re viewed by some of these folks as, like, really, really good. Then you have other people, you know, like a Congressman Chip Roy who’s endorsed me, Congressman Thomas Massie,”

However, true that second quote might be it’s not going to get him out of this jam…unless he man’s up and apologizes.
