American relaunching secondary Cuban cities and other aviation news

Thanks to the Biden Administrations decision to allow service once against from the USA to secondary Cuban cities, American will relaunch a number of Miami-Cuba flights, to five secondary cities (Camaguey, Holguín, Santa Cruz, Santiago de Cuba and Varadero). No word yet if operationally strapped jetBlue who operated many of the same routes from Fort Lauderdale or Southwest who also operated a few secondary routes from FLL will follow suit.

AraJet, the relaunch of Domincan Wings, is we are told likely to start daily Fort Lauderdale-Santo Domingo service by the end of the year. The airline is also looking at Sanford and St Petersburg/Clearwater as destinations in Florida.

Air Canada will fly Vancouver-Miami this winter, for the first time since 2001.

Flair will fly Fort Lauderdale-Kitchener/Waterloo this winter in a reversal of a flight previously zeroed out on reservation systems.

Hawaiian is ending Orlando service on September 7- this will leave Florida with no nonstop links to Hawaii.
