In a surprise move the Tampa Bay Rowdies have released Omar Salgado and Gale Agbossoumonde. Both players are former US Youth Internationals brought to the club by former Manager Thomas Rongen who also managed the US U-20 Men’s National Team for years. The Rowdies signing of former Orlando City attacker Long Tan (Who played for the Rowdies in 2010) on loan from Arizona of USL made Salgado expendable, but the Agbossoumonde (“Boss” ) situation is a little more curious.
As we find out more about why “Boss” was released we will report it.
The Rowdies host league-leaders Ottawa tomorrow night at Al Lang Stadium. Tampa Bay trails Fort Lauderdale in the race for the final NASL Championship spot on goal difference and a head-to-head tiebreaker.
