Ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC) Frontier Airlines which recently introduced “pre-reclined” (ie. non-reclining) seats to mimic fellow ULCC Fort Lauderdale based Spirit’s seats is expanding flights to/from the Sunshine State this winter. Frontier’s legendary tails which feature a different animal on each continues to be a popular attraction for many travelers.
Frontier will begin six Florida new routes from the state in the next few months:
Orlando-Houston: Daily service begin Dec. 19 on Airbus A321 aircraft
Orlando-Kansas City: Daily service begins Jan. 5 on Airbus A319 aircraft
Orlando-Milwaukee: Daily service begins Jan. 5 on Airbus A319 aircraft
Fort Myers-Detroit (seasonal): Daily begins Jan. 5 on Airbus A319 aircraft
Fort Myers-Indianapolis (seasonal): Daily service begins Jan. 5 on Airbus A319 aircraft
Tampa-St. Louis (seasonal): Daily service begins Dec. 19 on Airbus A320 aircraft
Some of these flights are simply a return of city pairs flown by Midwest Airlines which was absorbed into Frontier in 2010.
