Governor Crist’s first television ad which begins to air in certain Florida media markets today is sunny side up look at Florida. I love that Governor Crist begins the ad with the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, the signature symbol of this state and takes a positive tone throughout the 30 second spot. Unlike his opponent who has resorted to demagoguery for many months now, Crist’s ad gives a positive vibe and leaves the viewer a feel good tenor. The tone Crist strikes here is similar to the successful narrative he developed in the 2006 Governor’s Race where his rhetoric was very different than that of the Democrats who were already emerging as the “party of no,” in this state. Crist is a positive person and despite the constant whining of Florida Democrats, his campaign can strike a different tone. He begins that process with this ad. Full ad is below.

That’s why he bailed on us in 2010. Total opportunist.

And some day you’ll wake up and realize you bought a pig in a poke. Scott’s people know where all the bodies are buried. Charlie is already under water to Scott in the 3 latest polls. Nan is the only person who can rally the Dems. and turn out the vote.

Nothing but so much horse hockey. He sounds like he really thinks he can do something without the legislature. He’ll raise the minimum wage? Can’t happen without the legislature. There is nothing in this ad that he can do by himself. Let’s get real.

Yes, a fair amount of fluff, but clearly positive and draws a clear difference than the overwhelming negative “Let’s get to work” commercials of Rick Scott. A good start for Charlie Crist.

That ad could be directed at Nan Rich as much as Rick Scott. Does Charlie hear footsteps?

Joe and Bob,
Don’t look now but I think I saw a Nan ad!
Oh wait, I’m sorry…that’s a false alarm!
I forgot…Nan has absolutely no money to run an ad…cause she’s tried for two years and she’s come up empty!
Maybe she’s running a “stealth” campaign!…That even the Democrats don’t know anything about! And most Floridians too!

You remain cowards. If Nan is only going to get 20%, why is Charlie Chicken to debate? And why are you guys so afraid of me? Why aren’t talking about polls? Could it be because Scott is beating the Flopper in the 3 latest polls?
