      Nan Rich is the only person keeping the Democratic Party from becoming the Republican Party.

   Why do we still have the leadership staff that we do at the FDP with so many visible and embarrassing blunders? Christian and Arceneaux at the very least need to go. We also need new fundraisers and press people. How many more times will this stuff keep happening before enough is enough??

      Thanks for the question Opie. For me, it’s nothing we haven’t talked on the site. It’s no secret- FDP has serious problem recruiting candidates. FDP doesn’t have a statewide organizing effort nor candidate recruitment program like many other states have. We should have full time staff in our base territories, growing our base coupled with a voter registration effort.

      Local leaders and voters alike also need to take up their own missions to find candidates. Our civic duty does not stop at the ballot box.

      We are WAY behind on candidate recruitment and are having trouble coordinating campaign efforts and fundraising efforts. Hopefully with session firmly behind us this changes.

   Democrats, suck it up. I don’t want to see Rick Scott remain Governor for another 4 years. Given the unspeakable performance of the FDP and others in failing to select a candidate to run against David Jolly in November, I wonder if the Democrats will assemble another circular firing squad and not elect Charlie Crist. I’m sure that Nan Rich is a very capable person but she has had two years to raise money, raise awareness of her message and has failed. Get over it, she can’t beat Scott.

   How about a write-in to face David Jolly in November? At least we could find out if enough Dem’s and NPAs would support someone?

      Nan Rich has received $10, $20 and $50 contributions because the people want an honest, true Democrat. Charlie has gotten $100,000 $200,000 and $500,000 contributions from special Interests His boss is John Morgan. Charlie is for sale..

      Productive- debatable. Ethical? No. Barring some sort of scandal, staff are supposed to be off limits. There are plenty of other ways to make the point that Crist is the consummate politician that don’t cross the ethical and professional boundary. These Scott Campaign folks are old Romney campaign farmhands, they probably don’t know any better.

      Very poor form from the RPOF. I think they ought to apologize. Going after campaign staff is not acceptable. I get the point of the ad and it was a good one, but using Schale on camera was a low blow.

   What’s going on with the senate races? Since theres no real senate or house races, all of the money that the senate and house R’s can go to the Scott camp. That’s another potential 30 million. Someone should take note of that.

      VERY good point. If we don’t just file candidates to put their names on the ballot, all of the Republicans with no race can give the money to the party. And guess what that means? As you said another 30 mil for the Governor’s race.

    Why doesn’t the national Democratic Party step in and try to help out the pathetic Florida Democratic Party? Doesn’t anyone realize that if this state turns blue, instead of purple, it is over for the Republicans?
