Democratic Gubernatorial front-runner Charlie Crist believes that Jeb Bush made a great Governor would make a good President per his comments from last Sunday. How do our readers feel about these comments? Does it make you more or less likely to support Crist? It is also worth noting that nobody in Florida battled Bush as Governor more than the Teacher’s Unions whose leadership now strongly backs Crist. How Crist’s statement will impact rank-in-file members of the union is still to be seen.
I quite frankly believed by this point we would get mea culpa from Crist on his comments as he is running in a Democratic Primary against Senator Nan Rich. However, no apology or clarification has been forthcoming so the questions are worth asking. Also leave your views about the Bush/Crist comments below.

Charlie Christ is a fake. He’s still a Republican. Like Rick Scott and Ken Pruitt, they will say one thing to get elected and do the opposite once in office. I don’t trust any of those three politicians.

Great point about the teachers union. They should be in a box now. Strongly advocating Crist even though Rich has never voted against them. Are they by extension supporting Jeb?????

Charlie Crist is a fake and a fraud. He has surrounded himself with the “same old, same old” bunch of old white men!! Each of them are trying to preserve a legacy that doesn’t even exist. Florida DESERVES, and needs, NAN RICH for Governor. It is time to deal with FLORIDA!!! Not with Cuba, or DC, or Maryland and their water problems. We have an EMPLOYMENT problem in Florida, a homeless problem, an election problem, an Equality problem, a problem protecting our kids and our seniors, we have a problem of mindsets that refuse to consider LISTENING. FLORIDA needs tosupport, for governor, the person that shares our values, our hopes, and our plans for the future. That would be NAN RICH.

Not just the unions. The trial bar also. Bush screwed them eight ways to Sunday and many leaders are with Crist. They must answer for this one also.

yeah good point…both groups, arguably the most powerful Democratic aligned interest groups need either some cover on this from Crist himself or need to back away if doesn’t move away from his pro-Bush position.

This poll is meaningless! Consider the question, you can answer yes or no. Yes, I am voting for Nan because of Charlie’s support for Bush, No, I am voting for Nan Rich because I don’t care what Charlie said! In either case, voting for Nan Rich is the correct answer!

The party wants Crist…..he sounds good as he makes the rounds…..I don’t agree with his recent comment, however, it would be smart if he wins to include Nan Rich in his administration.

In the grand scheme of things that’s classic Charlie Crist.
But weather we like it or not Bush left office extremely popular with the Florida voters of every persuasion.
That’s an unfortunate fact.

I am tired of these types of things on your site.
Some of us need a Crist win for our livelihood.
Those of us who have real skin in the game not simply hiding behind a keyboard like the coward you are need jobs and right now withthe Republicans controlling every office no opportunities are there.
You can get on your high horse all you want but many of us who depend on nelping and electing democrats for a living NEED this election to gothe right way and Nan Rich cannot win.
If that means Crist has to run tothe right of Scott so be it. We need to win!

Thank you for your candor. This pretty much sums up the whole primary except for the same old Nan can’t win Bullshit. The people who support Crist do so because of money. They mistakenly believe Crist is their best shot to get on the gravy train. They of course are wrong which explains why they are jobless. [Gelber and Geller] Nan can and will kick Crist and Scott to the curb and be the biggest success in the 2014 election. Oh, and Crist supporters will still be jobless. Nan Rich is the only chance the Democrats have to get back in power. She is also the best candidate.

What type of position, or “livelihood” do you have that only exists if Chain Gang Charlie is elected? Did he promise you a job…that you KNOW Nan Rich would not offer to you? What is it with “Skin in the game?” Have you invested, financially in Crist and you think that that gives YOU the right to say that Nan Rich can’t win? Are you a Democrat? Are YOU going to vote for the Democratic nominee…even if it is NAN RICH???
