CNN’s Peter Hamby is reporting a new Netflix film about Mitt Romney due out on Friday will do Charlie Crist no favors. “Mitt,” features the candidate’s son, Tag discussing Crist’s endorsement of John McCain during the initial tight 2008 nomination fight. Crist endorsed McCain two days before the Florida Primary.
“Charlie Crist had promised my dad multiple times that he was going to stay neutral,” Tag Romney says. “He talked to many people on our campaign and he promised them all he was going to stay neutral. And now he has announced he is going to endorse John McCain. Now it’s two days before the election. This is a big deal. It’s a tight race, and it’s probably enough to tip it in McCain’s favor.”
Tag Romney continued:
“You do something like this, you call and say, ‘Look I made a decision,” Romney says. “By the way, we have all talked to him and we said, are you going to endorse somebody? And he said no.”
Gee. Why would anyone who knows Charlie think that he would stand by his word? He never has, he never will. His answer will always be, “Well, there are new facts, so I have new knowledge. In light of that new knowledge, I’ve changed my position.” Bank on it!!
NAN RICH for GOVERNOR

Charlie Christ is a bigger flopper than Mitt Romney—and they’re both still Republican. Christ is better than Rick Scott and Ken Pruitt on the environment simply because it gets votes. Christ and Romney will still say and do whatever it takes to win office. Maybe Christ will adopt a manatee.

Support the LIFE LONG DFemocrat, who, while gathering new facts,, NEVER had to change her position on: Women’s rights; GLBT rights; GLBT adoption; public education; the Equal Rights Amendment; raising the minimum wage; proper oversight of child care workers; etc., etc., etc. Stop the big money machine and vote for someone who will support CONSTITUENTS…not the $$$$ NAN RICH for GOVERNOR.

Crist on the Environment is interesting. In the 1990s when even Republicans were pro-Environment in Florida and the National GOP felt Clinton won the state in 1996 BECAUSE of Environmental issues he tacked left. As the Florida GOP became more like their national counterparts pushing deregulation, etc then he went right on these issues to placate the party. Then left again as it became fashionable and the to the right again as gas prices went up and he sought the GOP Senate nomination in 2010. Now he’s back to the left. So even on his strongest progressive issue he’s been all over the map.

The truth is that Nan is now a footnote to this race. If she can’t organize a serious run for the nomination, who is she really helping?

She’s giving those of us who would otherwise sit the race out a place to put our energies.

Valid point. Here’s hoping Nan can make a push.

It would be best for the party and for progressives if Senator Rich could make a strong push. The issues she’s stood strong on for a number of years are those we feel are near and dear to our heart.
While it is becoming more and more apparent she will not be nominated unless something dramatic happens it is important she continues in the race in order to frame the debate and keep Crist from wandering too far right.
Debates would be a good a thing and competitive primaries contrary to the illogical thoughts of some Democratic operatives in this state actually help the party, not hurt it.

Nan needs to shake up her campaign staff and start taking some chances. But, it seems she’s unwilling to do so. Until then, whats the virtue of wasting the energy for candidate that seemingly, doesn’t want to take the necessary steps to move the needle? Latest polls say, 70%+ havent a clue who she is, yet she’s been the race the longest of any in the field minus the incumbent.
Shake it up. Or give it up.

Justin, you are right to a point. There is 7 months to the primary. This is a marathon not a sprint. If you knew what I know you’d be writing Charlie’s obituary. It’s almost time to let your followers in on what to expect. Contact me and I’ll give you a taste.
