The most obvious is the Medicaid expansion funds being voted down! Our state politicians failed all of FL on that one … shame on them!!

Democratic support for “gas-’em-fast” death penalty appeals legislation was very troubling. Kerner and Clemens in particular.

The failure of the Lege to save the springs and institute bad water policy. (HB999). It is downright evil.

yep that one is already on the list and I am thinking of weighting that vote in the House double.

INTERNET SALES TAX (FAILED): Requires online-only companies like Amazon to collect sales tax on purchases made in Florida. (SB 316/HB 7097). Bad for revenue for the state and anti competitive for local businesses.

How about ALEC’s fracking bill sponsored by Clemens. What dumb asses.

Weren’t there two bills, with Clemens’ measure quite different from the ALEC-style bill?

HB 999 PLEASE
Senate vote does not matter. Bill got better there. Please the house vote the first one where tons of Ds crossed over. I believe you wrote about this before.

999 for sure. Even after changes it was awful. Senator Graham even came in to lobby against it.

Steve…Clemens is just not that bright. He put forth the bill probably thinking no one knew that is was an Alec bill like The Florida Squeeze showed the public and I just read this.

According to the New Times story Clemens’ bill differed from the GOP bill. HuffPo missed that. And in any event, both bills died.

Steve……yes the New Times in on the money and the HuffPo is not. Tells us when you are done pretending.

If anyone knew the real story about kerner working to kill the death bill, you’d shake his hand. If you ask him about it, he will say he supports it. However, those who saw the process know how much good he did in making it less troubling. Just ask the FL Bar, he single handedly killed the constitutional amendment. kerner is the closest thing to a constitutional scholar in that chamber and certainly one of the brightest. Many a hero will never be known. And I suspect Clemens did similar work in the senate. those who have seen Clemens work in the house and senate know just how smart he is, regardless of what the above poster said. but yes, score them low. im sure they’ll appreciate your support.

I respect Kerner and Clemens but I’d have to hear more. Whatever they did to ameliorate gas-’em-fast, in the end they voted for it. Was that necessary?
