Charlie Crist stepped out on Thursday calling for Department of Veteran’s Affairs Secretary General Eric Shinseki to resign in wake of the growing VA scandal.
Crist said:
“I appreciate Secretary Eric Shinseki’s service to his country, and while we don’t know precisely what happened here, we do know that there must be accountability and confidence in leadership in order to get to the truth and provide veterans the medical care they’ve earned and deserve. That confidence is gone.”
“I think it would be best if the Secretary stepped down and allowed others to get the VA fixed once and for all,”
While it is fair to say President Obama inherited many of the problems at the VA, he has been in office five and half years and it is fair to say his campaign promise to clean up and reform the Department has not been met adequately. Crist’s statement puts him squarely in the critics of the White House column on this issue.

He’s all over the place.

I agree that this is been far from the president’s finest moment. Good move by Crist.

It might be a good idea for Sorry Charlie to return all the war money he got from Sargeant before he pretends he is supporting the troops.
