   Doesn’t the ‘let states decide’ argument create another “Dred Scott” opportunity? If you are married in state A, but you travel to state B, your marriage is nullified the moment you step over the line? Say your spouse dies in state B – you cannot take their body back, because you are not the spouse. Say your spouse owns property in state B (w/o a will); you cannot take possession of it, and it has to go through probate court, because you are not the spouse.
