On this week’s Florida History Podcast we review the history of Miami Beach from Carl Fisher’s initial development, through Al Capone buying a home, the Art Deco era, the filming of Goldfinger, the Jackie Gleason Show, political conventions, Miami Vice, Gianni Versace’s murder and so much more.

  1. You may want to try reposting this podcast. It seems to cut off before the conversation is over.

    1. Yes the last three minutes were cut off. UGH. It’s been edited but not sure how long it will take the podcast services to reflect the update. In the meantime the full episode can be listened to here –

      1. Not sure how that happened. Anyhow the history pre-2000 is all in the abbreviated episode it’s the more recent developments that are cut off. Hopefully all the services update with the full episode shortly.
